Oh boy Bammo, you should see it ! - I read the play by Willis Hall before watching the film, and expected the film just to be a dramatisation of the play. However, although Leslie Norman stayed quite close to the play in terms of dialogue, he takes liberties with additional scenes, settings, and in particular the ending. Therefore, I was on the edge of my seat with suspense even though I d read the play beforehand. The acting is believeable, special kudos going to Laurence Harvey. Also, there s a nice musical score at the beginning and end of the film. One thing I do suggest is that you read the play first, because there are some very funny scenes which are omitted from the film. That way, you get the best of both worlds.
